Academic Periods
See how academic periods manages your school’s learning session
Tixa Study
Academic periods are official session starters that tells Tixa Study when you’re ready to initiate a session. You need to initialise an academic period to indicate the start of a term and session for any particular class. It is only then students can register their subjects.
Initiating Period
You can initiate an academic period by clicking on Initiate Period on the “Explore” dropdown on the sidebar or on the Explore page itself. Add all the required data marked with a (*) and save.
You also need to specify the minimum number of subjects that the students need to register for that period. The minimum number of required subjects cannot be less than the available compulsory subjects.
Removing Periods
Click on Manage Period on the “Explore” dropdown on the sidebar or on the Explore page itself. You will see the list of all the academic periods. You can click on the “Remove” button next to a period to remove it, or the “Remove All” button below the list to remove all the initiated periods.
Removing an academic period will not remove results that have been entered or de-register subjects students have registered, it will only prevent further registration of available subjects. Also, only the administrator or a super member with the role Academic Manager can remove initiated periods.
